Magnitude 5.7 earthquake near Tilos and Nisyros

A strong seismic tremor measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale (according to the revised solution of the Geodynamic Institute of the Athens Observatory, occurred at 01:14 after midnight (Tuesday 22/6), in the submarine zone of the Dodecanese and near Tilos.

The Geodynamic Institute gave the focal depth of the earthquake at 14.4 km and its epicenter 24 km west-southwest of Nisyros.
