Coronavirus: Boris Johnson committed to “world beatings” track and track system in days – BBC News
Boris Johnson said MPs are “confident” that the government will have a “world beat” system until June 1 to test, track and track people with coronavirus infection.
Responding to criticism from Labor leader Sir Keir Starmer, he said the lack of effective traces of infected people had left them “in defense of our holes”. Labor leaders have compared the death toll in the UK to intensive rape trials and places like Germany and South Korea, where deaths are much lower.
Meanwhile, many hospitals adapted to deal with the pandemic are recovering normally. However, the head of Ipswich Hospital has warned of the effects of social distance and that Covid-19 could be with us for “several years” – meaning the NHS needs to find new ways to work.
