New Delhi: Jammu and Kashmir woke up on Tuesday morning with the tremors of the earthquake. There were two earthquakes, the first one was a mild tremor at 7 am while the second one was felt for a maximum of 10 seconds. The epicenter has been found in Tajikistan which felt an earthquake of a 6.8 Richter scale.

The epicenter of the earthquake is said to be 300km for Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. This was the 5th earthquake in Jammu and Kashmir since yesterday.

Several parts of India are experiencing mild to strong jolts of earthquakes in the past few months, especially northern India. According to reports, Jammu and Kashmir have experienced five earthquakes since Monday morning.

The epi was around 13 km of the bordering Gurgaon and had a depth of 18 km, the data said.The national capital and its adjoining regions such as Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram have experienced a total of 13 jolts in the recent past.
