Call to delay GSCE results as study mix progresses – BBC News
There is greater uncertainty for hundreds of thousands of A-level students and children waiting for GCSE results. The regulator of the exams, Ofqual, removed guidelines on how to attract students to their grades after they were made public. And Conservative Education Secretary Kenneth Baker has said the government should let it “make a hole” and delay the announcement of the GCSE’s results. The government has set fire to Ofqual’s A-rated grades in England after canceling tests caused by the coronavirus pandemic. Nearly 40% of the grades were lower than teacher assessments.
