More than a quarter of students in England have achieved the highest grades in the GCSE. However, the BTEC continues the agony of more than half a billion students, as the awarding institution had to pull out the results a few hours earlier. How did we get here, who is to blame, and how has this affected the hopes and dreams of the Covid generation? We spoke to Nick Gibb, the English Minister for Schools, and a few weeks ago we asked him about the warning from the Director General of Education Sir Jon Coles.
