Wales set strict 16-day closure to control pandemic and protect NHS – BBC News
The Welsh government is setting a 16-day deadline to regain control of the pandemic across the country. Prime Minister Mark Drakeford of Labor has said that without closure the NHS in Wales will not be able to cope for weeks and months. However, in some parts of Wales there has been despair and anger, where the number of coronavirus cases is relatively small. People will have to stay home unless they are key employees or unable to work from home. Pubs, restaurants, hotels and all non-essential shops will be closed. Primary school years will reopen halfway through. 7th and 8th grade students will return but other students will learn from home. It will not be allowed to gather with people from other houses inside and outside the house. Huw Edwards introduces BBC News at Ten to Welsh correspondent Hywel Griffith. Please subscribe HERE .
