Just 7 minutes ago, a 3.5-magnitude earthquake occurred near Jogo, Lower Silesia, Poland. The tremor was recorded on the morning of Thursday, March 11, 2021 at 7:59 a.m. local time, at a shallow depth of 10 kilometers below the Earth’s surface, and the event was presented by the German Research Center for Geosciences (GFZ), the first seismic agency to report it. Based on the preliminary seismic data, the earthquake should not have caused any major damage, but many people probably felt it as a slight shaking in the epicenter area. The weak tremors were probably felt in Germansano (district 600) located 2 km from the epicenter, Gojov (68,500 inhabitants) at 8 km, and Pulkovici (population 21,600) at 10 km. Perhaps people felt the earthquake because the weak tremor includes Lupine (77,500 people) located 23 km from the epicenter, Noa Sol (40,400 people) 34 km away, Legnica (106,000 inhabitants) 43 km away, Leszno (population 63,600) 45 Km, and Bolesawiec (population 40,700) at 50 km. In Preslavia (population 634,900, 86 km away), they may not have felt the earthquake.
