Health Minister Robin Swann said he was encouraged to respond to the great impetus to vaccinate more people in Northern Ireland.At Big Jab Weekend, a walk-in vaccination center for initial doses for all adults has reopened amid concerns about the high number of Covid cases in the region.The queue was reported outside the vaccination center on both Saturday and Sunday.
Swan said: “The first day was very encouraging. It’s great to see many young people come forward to be protected from Covid-19.“For those who are still waiting, my message is simple. Don’t be left behind. Go to one of our mass vaccination clinics or mobile pop-up clinics today.“Vaccination protects you and those around you and opens the door to normality.”
This is due to ongoing vaccinations at walk-in pop-up clinics throughout Northern Ireland, as well as appointments at pharmacies in participating regions.Big Jab Weekend is the last chance for people over the age of 18 to get their first jab at a mass vaccination center.Northern Ireland has the lowest vaccination coverage in the UK, with approximately 14% of the adult population not yet first vaccinated.So far, a total of 2,408,221 vaccines have been administered.Further deaths of Covid-19-positive patients were recorded on Sunday 11th.
