Ontario records 748 new COVID-19 cases as vaccination of children ages 5 to 11 increases.

Ontario reported 748 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday as vaccination against illness in children aged 5 to 11 began to increase across the state.
The City of Toronto’s Children’s Vaccine Campaign has been featured in earnest at schools and community clinics for children.
Windsor’s public health said it was still making reservations for young children today, and city police said it would be onsite for planned protests on the site.
Hamilton’s Clinic offers shots today for indigenous peoples over the age of 5 and their families.
A child must have parental or guardian consent to take a shot.
Other health units are offering Pediatric Pfizer-BioNTech Shots this weekend and on designated days in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, the number of cases today has increased by about 5% since last Thursday, when the state recorded 711 infections.
The 7-day average for daily cases is up to 692.
As of November 21, Ontario’s COVID-19 Scientific Advisory Board estimates that new daily infections in the state have doubled approximately every four and a half weeks.
While cases are still increasing in the majority of Ontario’s 34 public health units, the burden on intensive care units remains more or less stable.
As of yesterday evening, there were 137 patients being treated for COVID-related illnesses in the ICU. This is an increase from 129 COVID patients receiving critical care last Wednesday, well within the general range reported over the past few months.
The Ministry of Health also reported that COVID-19 killed four more people, pushing the official casualties to 9,985.

Current infected person (number): 5,552, a slight increase from yesterday.
vaccination: 12,566 doses were administered by the public health department on Tuesday. About 86.1 percent of Ontarians over the age of 12 fired two bullets. The state has announced that it will begin reporting vaccinations for children ages 5 to 11 in the coming days.
