West Nile virus present in Austin

AUSTIN, Texas — A mosquito pool in East Austin tested positive for West Nile virus.
According to Wednesday’s release, Austin Public Health (APH), the positive pool was in East Austin zip code 78721. APH also stressed that no positive cases of West Nile virus have been detected in people in the region at this time.
