Government Will Not Release Coronavirus Mortality Update Today Due to “Data Issue”

The government today announced that it will not publish the death toll from the coronavirus.

Shortly after 4:00 pm today, Public Health England announced it would take a break from the updates following daily data for several months.

The department tweeted: “Because of technical data processing issues, UK and UK mortality data are not expected to be updated today.”

Twenty-one more people were added yesterday to the death toll, 46,526.

Last week’s seven-day average fluctuated between the late 50s and 50s.

That’s significantly less than when Covid-19 killed about 110 and 120 people every day in June, and averaged about 300 in a day in May.

The worst day of any pandemic to date was April 21, with 1,170 people killed by the coronavirus, according to the Department of Health.

It was reported yesterday that the government may soon cease daily publication of deaths from the coronavirus.

The move is alleged to follow the toll investigation method of England’s public health law.

Telegraph reports that the findings of an investigation ordered by Health Secretary Matt Hancock after the officials say they are “exaggerating” virus deaths are expected this week.

One recommendation a government source told the newspaper might be to move to the official weekly fatalities instead.

The decision could be announced later this week, according to Downing Street. However, a spokesperson said, “We are working to resume the release of daily data on coronavirus deaths,” suggesting that there is no activity in publishing weekly deaths.

Britain suspends daily updates of deaths last month, and government orders review on how public health England reports Coronavirus Deaths after scholars said daily numbers could include people who died of other causes.

Yesterday’s public health The official death toll in England fell by about 50 compared to the previous day.

This is because death, previously thought to be caused by coronaviruses, was subsequently caused by other diseases.
