A local mother shares her story to raise awareness of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, when women of all ages take precautionary measures.
More than two years ago, 32-year-old Abigail Valletta and an unborn child at the time endured the fight for breast cancer together. Valletta was surprised when she was taking a shower and doing a self-breasting check. She felt a lump, which was unusual for her age and 14 weeks gestation.
