PA COVID: Tracking vaccine supply in the suburbs of Philadelphia

Norristown, PA (WPVI)-It can be frustrating to try to get the COVID-19 vaccine in a county outside Philadelphia.

Currently, approximately 12 million Pennsylvania residents receive an average of 175,000 weekly doses from the federal government throughout Pennsylvania. Many people in southeastern Pennsylvania are feeling the effects of the shortage.

In Delaware County, Aidon’s mass vaccination site remains closed due to a shortage of vaccines.

“I think we asked for 3,000 people. I think we got 1,200 people, which means we were able to do that in two days,” said Brian Zideck, chairman of the Delaware County Council.
