British health minister who interacted with Boris Johnson has a coronavirus

A health minister in the British government Boris Johnson tested positive for the coronavirus.
Nadine Dorries confirmed Tuesday evening that she had caught the COVID-19 virus after the London Times announced the news.
Dorries thanked supporters on Tuesday evening for their support and revealed that her 84-year-old mother had started showing symptoms of the virus.

Dorries, the MP for Mid Bedfordshire, started feeling sick on Friday and was diagnosed with COVID-19 on Tuesday. She is currently isolated in convalescence.
Dorries attended a reception with Prime Minister Johnson and met with other MPs before her diagnosis, according to the Times.
How Dorries contracted the virus is not yet known.
"Public Health England has started a detailed contact search and the department and my parliamentary office are following their advice closely," Dorries told the BBC.
The UK has confirmed more than 380 coronavirus infections and six people died on Tuesday.
A Johnson spokesperson said he expected the virus to "spread significantly."
The country is also experiencing an increase in community spread, where a person who has not traveled to an affected area or who interacts with a known infected person contracts the virus.
The new coronavirus causes a respiratory disease called COVID-19, which has flu-like symptoms.
Experts have advised the public to practice good personal hygiene, including washing your hands frequently for at least 20 seconds, staying home when sick, and avoiding large crowds to protect yourself and limit spread of the virus.
