Breastfeeding-friendly group at Children's and Women's Hospital celebrates fourth anniversary
Last month marked the fourth anniversary of The Breastfeeding Friendly (BFF) group at USA Health Childrens & Womens Hospital. The group was founded by Geneviève Mantell, inf. Aut., In fall 2015 and opened to the public in February 2016.
As the only breastfeeding support group in Mobile County, the BFF group serves as a social event and is open to all moms who have questions or concerns regarding breastfeeding. breastfeeding.
Over the years, the BFF group has helped hundreds of moms gain the confidence and skills to pursue a nurturing relationship.
The BFF group and the lactation team at Childrens & Womens Hospital meet twice a week at the Strada Patient Care Center on Center Street in Mobile. Meetings are held every Monday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the conference room on the first floor.
