Beer League Hockey Goalie, 64, dies after he gets into the chest with Puck: Report

A hockey goalkeeper who played a Florida Beer League match died of a cardiac arrest after he got into the chest with a puck on the ice in Florida, according to a report.

The non-geidified 64-year-old Kraken Beers-goalkeeper was between the posts on Community First Iglo Rink in Jacksonville on Tuesday evening when the fatal shot was fired by a member of the opposing Fireballs Club, The Miami Herald reported.

Immediately after absorbing the blow to the breast of the disk of vulcanized rubber, the keeper complained about feeling unwell and left the game, the outlet added, with reference to a police report.

The goalkeeper then collapsed, still in his hockey blocks, near the stands, and bystanders hurried to perform CPR, according to the Herald.
