Now we can’t grow gills anymore, but scuba diving is the closest thing to that experience. And these leading Bollywood actors are also passionate about scuba diving. We always see actors having adventures on screen, but do you know that some of these actors are also adventurous off screen? Here are 5 celebrities who are certified divers:
1. Sonakshi Sinha
At the end of 2020, Sonakshi traveled to the Maldives, and she with a scuba diving certificate. She took to Instagram to share her new achievement, captioning it “Knighted by the Holy Fins!!!”. She even shared a photo of her exam sheet in which she got a total of 100. Sonakshi Sinha added that she never got 100 on any exam.
2. Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor is an adventurer both on and off screen, but did you know she’s an aquatic baby? She was even approached by a scuba diving association to be the face of their campaign in 2014. Shraddha also helped Tiger Shroff during an aquatic scene at Baaghi. Shraddha Kapoor once mentioned in an interview that she wanted to dive the Pacific and the Atlantic to see the wrecks of the World War.
3. Parineeti Chopra
Parineeti Chopra became a certified scuba diver in 2017 and since then she loves being underwater. Last year, she went on a 7-day scuba diving trip to the Indian Ocean with her brother Shivang Chopra. Parineeti is always on the move, she loves to travel and try new things. She recently posted a video of her subs and captioned it “The place where I belong.”
4. Shriya Saran
Shriya Saran has always enjoyed doing water sports. She mentioned in an interview that she flew to Port Blair to take a week-long scuba diving course and got her certification. Like Parineeti, even Shriya frequently visits the oceans to get the needed dose of peace and calm.
5. Sushmita Sen
You know her as the daring and genius Sushmita Sen, but did you know that she is certified as a scuba diver? She was certified in 2014. Recently in 2019, Sen took her daughter Alisah diving for her 10th birthday. She also posted about it on Instagram saying how proud she was of her 10th birthday and even explained why she took her for a deep dive in the ocean.
