Music fills the streets of Hollywood as world-renowned classical pianist Lang Lang receives his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame

HOLLYWOOD (KABC)– World-renowned classical pianist Lang Lang received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And to celebrate, he did something you don't usually see on Hollywood Boulevard: he played the piano!

Lang Lang is an internationally renowned musician who has sold millions of albums, topped classical charts, and performed for notable figures including President Barack Obama and Queen Elizabeth II. The 41-year-old virtuoso began playing when he was just two years old. He attributes his success to his parents.

“My parents pushed me a lot when I was a kid, but it was a pretty good push. That's why I'm here today,” Lang Lang said. “For me, there is nothing better than sharing the gift of music. It's the secret of life. I truly hope to teach and inspire as many people as possible to learn an instrument, whether “It's either the piano or something else. The artist says he believes that for everyone, there is common ground that can be found in music.
