Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor shared her experience of adapting to the changes that came after the birth of her son Vaayu. Sonam said she has always embraced herself as she is, but when she gained 32 kilos after giving birth, she found it traumatic.

On the Fashionably Pernia podcast, the actor spoke about the changes she made after giving birth, fashion-wise. Sonam said, I gained 32 kilos. Honestly, at first I was traumatized. You're so obsessed with your baby that you really don't think about working out or eating right. It took me a year and a half. I took it very slowly, you have to be slow because you have to adapt to the new self.

She added: “Everything changes in your life. Your relationship with yourself changes, with your husband it changes, everything changes. You will never feel the same way about your body again. I have always accepted myself as I am and felt like I had to accept this version of myself.

Sonam Kapoor often talks about her weight loss journey via social media. Taking to her Instagram account, Sonam had written: It took me 16 months to feel like myself again. Slow and steady, no crash diets or crazy workouts, just consistent self-care and baby care. I'm not there yet, but almost where I want to be…I'm still very very grateful for my body and how amazing it has been. Being a woman is a wonderful thing.
