Experimenting with a green screen is one of the fun activities the Minot Public Library offers in its teen program.
In photography and videography, a green screen background allows the creator to change the background later in post-production. Teenagers gathered at the library after school on April 18 to try out some poses with the library's green screen.
One participant, Zoey Stuart, chose to sit on a green plastic crate secured with a green pillow in front of the green screen. She then chose a different background in post-production to make it look like she was sitting in a vast field of lavender.
The program provided to the library comes preloaded with six specific backgrounds that students can choose to later swap with their green background.
Backgrounds students can choose include a jaguar and a Komodo dragon.

Green screen events take place monthly in the Makerspace area on the second floor of the library.
