Heeramandi Actor Sharmin Segal Disables Comments on Instagram After Being Slammed for 'Expressionless' Acting

Since its release on May 1, Constitution: The Diamond Bazaar made a name for himself in the entertainment city. Actors like Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala and Sanjeeda Sheikh are receiving applause for their performances in the Netflix show. However, Sharmin Segal, who plays the character of Alamzeb in the series, is facing backlash from a segment of netizens, who claim that she did not deserve the role and only got it thanks to to nepotism. For the uninitiated, Sharmin Segal is the niece of The Constitution director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. In response to the hateful comments, Sharmin has now disabled comments on one of her Instagram posts, where she is seen posing with Sanjay Leela Bhansali at the premiere of The Constitution in Los Angeles, United States.
Earlier, Sharmin Segal had shared a photo from a magazine shoot. The comments section of this post is now flooded with negative reactions. A user said, I really don't like him as Alam.. no expression same expression? Another added: Alamzeb was a very beautiful character but SLB chose his wooden and expressionless niece. Every time she was on screen, it was a yawn fest. I didn't like him at all. Even the girl who played Saima was much better than Sharmin. One comment read: Am I the only one who skipped his scenes because it was boring to watch? Someone else really deserves this role, sorry to say! One person even called Sharmin the most expressionless actress. Someone asked: Why were you smiling throughout the entire series? You alone have ruined the fun of watching the series.
Sharmin Segal was introduced to the film industry with the 2019 movie Malaal. The project was supported by Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Bhansali Productions.
