Alan Robert Murray Dead: Oscar-winning sound editor was 66
For over 40 years he has worked on 32 films directed by Clint Eastwood, from “Escape From Alcatraz” to “Richard Jewell”.
Alan Robert Murray, the supervising sound editor and decades-long collaborator with Clint Eastwood who won an Oscar for his work on the directorAmerican sniper and Letters to Iwo Jima, died on Wednesday, a source said The Hollywood Reporter. He was 66 years old.

He worked on 32 films directed by Eastwood, fromEscape from Alcatraz(1979) to Richard jewell (2019), in a stretch that also included the Best Photos winners unforgiven(1992) andMillion dollar baby(2004).
Additionally, he’s partnered with Eastwood on several other films the Hollywood legend has produced and / or starred in, including In every possible way (1980), Tightrope (1984), The dead pool (1988) and Problems with the curve (2012).
