President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) goes shopping at Berastagi fruit market, Karo Regency, North Sumatra (North Sumatra). Jokowi even went straight to choose the fruits and vegetables he was buying.
Reported Détik News On Saturday (13/4/2024), Jokowi purchased fruits and vegetables, including 5 kilograms of oranges, 2 kilograms of mango, 2 kilograms of snake fruit, and 2 kilograms of red potatoes.
President Jokowi's arrival was greeted with joy by Marlina Kataren, one of the traders. Marlina didn't expect Jokowi to visit the market.
“Alhamdulillah, I am very happy that Mr. Negara is here. Like this dream, I hope that with the arrival of Mr. Jokowi, our sales will be even more popular,” said Marlina.

Another trader, Lilis Sembiring, was touched by Jokowi's presence at the Berastagi fruit market. “Wow, I saw Mr. Jokowi earlier, tears were about to flow. I am very happy that Mr. Jokowi was allowed to be here,” he said.
Jokowi's visit not only left an emotional impression on traders, but also sent a strong message about the importance of supporting the local agricultural sector. With around 70 percent of Karo Regency's population working in the agricultural sector, this market is not only a place of commerce, but also a symbol of the strength and resilience of the local community.
It is known that Jokowi has been in Medan since the second day of Eid, Thursday (11/4/2024). Jokowi's visit to Medan City was to meet his children and grandchildren.
