Imran turned witness against himself in two main cases, says Murad – Journal

HYDERABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah on Sunday said that former Prime Minister Imran Khan had turned witness against himself in the Chiffre and Toshakhana cases, thereby putting himself in trouble.

He was speaking to journalists after offering fate near his father's grave on the occasion of the latter's 17th death anniversary in Wahur.

On the expected release of the PTI chief, he said he had heard of such media predictions. He claimed that despite the unprecedented support and power enjoyed by the former prime minister, he could not deliver on his promises and instead pushed the country into an economic crisis.

Everyone knew the level of political acumen of Imran Khan, who admitted his mistakes, the CM said, adding that he had in fact created increasing problems for himself. Despite his support and backing, Imran wasted everything within weeks and months of coming to power and the courts are now hearing his cases. The courts could grant him relief, he added.

The CM told an interviewee that he was working on various proposals to revive the Manchhar lake.
