According to unofficial results on Monday, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, won at least two seats in the National Assembly and ten seats in the Provincial Assembly.

PTI leaders on Monday said that April 21 will be remembered as a black day in the history of Pakistan. They alleged “clear and flagrant violations of the law,” the Dawn newspaper reported.

The party urged the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to suspend notification of results and announced a series of protests starting Friday.

The PTI doubted the credibility of the top election watchdog. Its chairman Gohar wondered why the Election Commission of Pakistan did not involve returning officers (ROs) and district returning officers of the judiciary.
