Girls Tennis: Individual State Championships Thursday through Saturday
AURORA – The Colorado High School Activity Association will host the Girls Tennis Individual State Championships in three cities today through Saturday.
The 3A tournament will be played at Memorial Park (1315 E Pikes Peak Ave, Colorado Springs, CO, 80909), the 4A tournament will be played at Pueblo City Park (800 Goodnight Ave, Pueblo, CO 81003), and the 5A tournament will be played at is played orphan in Denver City Park (2001 Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80205).
Due to forecasted rain in Colorado Springs, Thursday's 3A tournament will be split between two sites, with #1, #2, #3 Singles and #1 and #2 Doubles starting at Memorial Park and #3 and #4 Doubles starting at Cheyenne Mountain High School.
The court orders will be made available soon. Play starts at 9am each day and all quarter-final matches will be played next Thursday. The semi-finals and second round playback matches will be played on Friday, while the championship finals and playback finals will take place on Saturday.
Individuals qualified for the state tournament through their performance at regional tournaments, with the top two finishers from each region automatically qualifying for the state tournament. View a list of all state qualifications.
Please note that the individual state championships are different than the team state championships, which will be hosted on Tuesday, May 14 at Denver Tennis Park.
