CBS Sports is not high on Michigan's football in 2025 and loses three road games
The Michigan Wolverines perhaps 8-5 last season, but the Wolverines were full of momentum at the end of the season. Analysis: Last year I gave Michigan the advantage of the doubt that came from a national title. This year I am not. The victories over Ohio State and Alabama to end the season with some of the important problems of the team, and all the important players of that title team have now disappeared. The Sooners won only six games a year ago, and both Nebraska and USC won seven games. The transfer portal can change team quickly, but if Michigan were to lose to all three of those teams on the road, it would be difficult to imagine that the 2025 season is slightly different than a failure of a year. If Michigan goes back to the CFP and compete for a Big Ten title, it will have to beat the teams that should defeat it. And until Ohio State can show that it can beat the Wolverines – especially in the big house – it is difficult to choose the corn and blue in that matchup.
