Google finally rolls out new filtering options in Google Drive for Android

Last month, Google added new ways to filter to Google Drive for iOS. According to Android Police, the same filter has finally been introduced to Google's own mobile OS after a recent update to his Android version of Google Drive. This update makes it much easier to find the files you're looking for in Google Drive thanks to new types, people, and changed filters.

Each of these new filters includes a dropdown with more options. for example,[種類]The dropdown lets you choose from the types of files you have on Google Drive, including documents, spreadsheets, presentations, forms, photos, PDFs, video shortcuts, folders, and more.[ユーザー]The dropdown allows you to search by contact name (which may include the file owner or users associated with the file, such as editors or viewers).[変更済み]The dropdown allows you to choose from Today, Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, This Year, Last Year, or Custom.

These filters are similar to those found in the web version of Google Drive, but are less extensive. Advanced search features such as “contains that word,” “location,” “shared with,” and “follow up” are not yet available.

One of the great things about the new filters is that the file view updates in real time when you select a filter. In other words,[タイプ]from the dropdown[ドキュメント]When you select , the results appear immediately on your screen (no need to apply any filters).

These filters aren't new to Google Drive, but they should go a long way in helping Android users find the files they're looking for faster.

These new filters are available in Google Drive version 2.24.147.0 and later. If you don't see the filter (after tapping the Google Drive search bar), visit the Google Play Store to see if there are any updates available for the version of Google Drive you have installed.
