Magnitude 5.3 earthquake strikes Nepal’s Nuwakot

Kathmandu: – A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck Nuwakot in Nepal on Saturday morning.

The earthquake occurred about 40 km north of Kathmandu, Nepal at 5:26 a.m. EDT around Belkotgade in Nowakot district, according to the National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center (NEMRC).

People felt the earthquake in and around Kathmandu Valley. However, no immediate damage was reported.
