California residents were in shock just before midnight on September 19. Literally. An earthquake jolted southern California on Friday night. While no one was hurt, some brave celebrities, including Real Housewives of Orange County Kelly Dodd, posted about the earthquake.

California residents may become accustomed to an accidental earthquake. However, that doesn’t make it any less terrifying. In fact, when small earthquakes happen, people are not sure what they felt. This was the case on Friday, September 18th. Celebrities and non-celebrities alike have taken to social media to see if other people have experienced an earthquake.

RHOBH graduate Adrienne Maloof asked via Twitter who “felt a #earthquake?” Her former acting partner Brandy Glanville realized what was happening and wrote, “I just felt a gigantic shock from an earthquake.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta OG Kim Zolciak-Biermann wasn’t sure what it felt like. He was the resident of Atlanta, California on Friday. I asked, “Did you just feel an earthquake in Los Angeles?”

Renowned seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones confirmed that it was, in fact, an earthquake. The Los Angeles Times reported that the earthquake was a “4.5-magnitude earthquake”. Dr. Jones wrote on Twitter that the epicenter was 6.2 miles southwest of El Monte. She noted that it is “roughly the same site” where the 1987 earthquake occurred.

The 1987 Wetter Narrows earthquake had a magnitude of 5.9 and killed six people. But Dr. Jones explained that the 2020 earthquake was not a consequence of the 1987 earthquake. The expert says that the aftershocks of Whiteer Narrows “completely disappeared” within two years.

Another Bravolebrity in California appears to have been awakened by the earthquake. Real Housewives of Orange County star Kelly Dodd took to her Instagram stories to discuss the earthquake. In one of the videos, Shaggy Kelly turns the camera on her waving daughter Julie. The founder of Positive Beverage is clearly slightly affected by the unexpected earthquake.

Despite the panic, there were no reports of injuries or damage in the September 18 earthquake. The Los Angeles Times notes that the Pointe Hill Fault is particularly worrying for Los Angeles residents. That being said, the fault line is underneath the Los Angeles skyscrapers.

Season 15 of RHOC Delayed

The new season of RHOC was supposed to premiere on October 7. However, eagle-eyed fans have noted that the new promo for Season 15 has a different date. The new deadline is October 14th. Bravo has yet to explain why the new season show was so delayed. However, they could be aftershocks from COVID.

Several other Bravo shows are stalled or delayed due to the slow editing process with editors working on their own from home. Usually, the editors work as a team, but they are unable to do so due to quarantine.
