A new asymptomatic Covid strain that is “more infectious than Delta” under investigation
A new strain of Covid-19, which is said to be more infectious than the delta variant of the virus, is currently being investigated by scientists.
A newly detected strain called AY.4.2 was subsequently classified by authorities as a “mutant under investigation”.
Reportedly, 11.8% of UK infections between mid-October and early November are associated with the AY.4.2 mutation.
