UW research to make Alzheimer’s research more inclusive
Madison, Wisconsin — As new drugs for Alzheimer’s disease hit the market, some researchers are plagued by the lack of clinical data on their effectiveness in black patients.
According to UW Health, black adults are almost twice as likely to develop the disease compared to their white peers, but are less likely to be included in studies.
