Compared with non-VFC-eligible children, coverage of at least one dose of MMR, two to three doses of rotavirus vaccine, and 7-valent vaccine was lower (3.8, 11.5, and 13.8 percentage points lower, respectively) among all children born in 2020 for VFC-eligible children.
“The data presented in this report demonstrate long-term program outcomes for multiple birth cohorts of children,” the authors wrote. “As new vaccines are added and immunization schedules become increasingly complex, maintaining and evolving the VFC program may help maintain and further expand vaccination coverage.”
