Prince William will star in his own documentary series on The Wall.
The 40-year-old Prince of Wales – who has three children with his wife Catherine, Princess of Wales – is teaming up with ITV for the series, which will follow him around the UK in several public appearances as he launches a homelessness initiative.
A TV source told The Sun newspaper: “It’s quite extraordinary, it’s never been done before.
“Usually access to members of the Royal Family is very limited and completely controlled, but William clearly wants to change that.
He is keen to showcase his work, especially on a homeless project which was a subject very dear to his mother, and to connect with the public on a new level.
He knows very well how important it is for the monarchy to develop a more modern relationship with the British people.
Television is a great way to do that.”
However, royal insiders are keen to point out that William’s documentary will be nothing like the bombshell docuseries his brother Prince Harry and sister-in-law Duchess Meghan made for Netflix.
The source added: “It’s a dramatic contrast to what Harry has done. William has invited cameras to follow him as he carries out his duties, giving a good insight into himself and his work as a Prince of Wales, it’s nothing like his brothers’ TV appearances.
