Government to take measures to boost public sector savings, says Vice President Ylmaz

The government is working on measures to increase public sector savings, Vice President Cevdet Ylmaz said.
The Ministry of Finance and the Presidency of the Strategic and Budgetary Authority are currently conducting studies on public sector savings, with more than 15 articles under development, which will be implemented, Ylmaz told reporters after the council of ministers this week.

Speaking after the April 16 cabinet meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoan said steps would be taken to strengthen the medium-term economic program.
For strengthening the program, the three main priorities are to increase public savings, prioritize investments and accelerate structural reforms, Erdoan said.
