Handball Federation Kuwait praises silver medal win
ABU DHABI: Vice President of the Kuwait Handball Federation Shabib Al-Hajri praised the Kuwaiti youth team for their impressive performance in winning the silver medal at the Gulf Youth Games in Abu Dhabi. By beating the UAE national team in the final match, Kuwait secured the second spot on the podium, while the gold medal went to the Saudi team. Al-Hajri expressed full satisfaction with the overall performance of the Kuwaiti youth during the tournament and highlighted their performance in second place. He emphasized that the team has young talents with the potential to guide the national team to future achievements.
Al-Hajri highlighted the team's participation in upcoming tournaments such as the Asian Cup and the World Cup, stating that participation will enhance the ability of Kuwaiti youth to excel and represent their country with pride. The Kuwaiti handball team recorded their fourth victory, beating the UAE 33-20 and gaining eight points to win the silver medal in the UAE-organized handball competition.

Meanwhile, Kuwait on Saturday won another 16 medals in karate, swimming, table tennis, archery and electronic games at the First Gulf Youth Games, which kicked off on April 16 in the UAE.
The Kuwait national karate team won 10 medals, including three gold, one silver and six bronze, while swimmers achieved three medals; one gold and two bronze. The country's table tennis team won one silver medal and the archery team won one bronze medal. In the field of electronic games, Kuwait achieved one bronze medal.
