Google Pixel 8A leaks in all colors including bold green

Google I/O is just a month away, where the company will likely announce its new Pixel 8A smartphone. At this point, we've already done a lot of rendering and some real shots. Now, official marketing images for the device appear to have leaked, courtesy of Android Headlines.

If that's accurate, it indicates that Google will be offering the Pixel 8A in four colors: black, porcelain, blue, and a very bright green. It's certainly more saturated than the muted mint that Google added to the Pixel 8's color choices earlier this year.

Like its predecessor, the phone is rumored to have a 6.1-inch display, but it's not yet clear whether it will have a top speed of 90Hz or 120Hz. The 8A is still thicker than the flagship Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, especially the bottom bezels. Like these devices, it is powered by Google's Tensor G3 chip.

Rumor has it that this could be the last A-series Pixel smartphone, at least for a while. Later this year, Google is expected to release three versions of the Pixel 9: Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL. They all have different screen sizes (and prices). When the Pixel Fold 2 is finally introduced, there may not be enough space in the lineup for the 9A. From a price standpoint, there's not much room between the 7A model and the continuously available Pixel 8 model.

The Google I/O 2024 keynote is scheduled for May 14th. Compared to many 8A leaks, there isn't a lot of information about the Pixel Fold 2, so it's possible that the company postpones the leak until October in order to align the entire premium series with the same Tensor G4 processor.
