REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo received a phone call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to offer Eid Al-Adha congratulations on Sunday afternoon.
“Congratulations Iduladha to His Excellency President Erdogan and Mrs. Emine, as well as to all the Turkish people. I pray that Her Majesty is always in good health, ”President Jokowi – the familiar greeting from Joko Widodo – said in his official statement, which the Anadolu Agency received on Sunday evening.
President Erdogan also congratulated Iduladha to President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo and to all the people of Indonesia. During the phone conversation, President Joko Widodo discussed Turkish President Erdogan’s planned visit to Indonesia.
President Joko Widodo hopes that during Erdogan’s visit, various concrete bilateral cooperation discussed by the ministers of the two countries can be achieved, such as the development of the Covid-19 vaccine.
“I understand, Turkey is at an advanced stage in vaccine development. I am happy to hear that our two ministers of research and technology have discussed the possibility of cooperation in this area, ”said President Jokowi.
