Tehreek-e-Insaf accuses army of kidnapping Imran Khan's nephew, Firstpost

More than 100 Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders and workers are detained by the army and facing military trials for their alleged involvement in the attack on key military installations in May last year, at following the arrest of Imran Khan in a corruption case.

The party of imprisoned former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has accused authorities of “kidnapping” his nephew, Hassan Niazi, while he was in military custody, and transferring him to a location kept secret to put pressure on Khan.

The development came days after the former prime minister claimed that Pakistan Army Chief General Asim Munir was directly responsible for the incarceration of his wife, Bushra Bibi.

Following attacks on key military installations in May last year, which took place following Khan's arrest in a corruption case, more than 100 leaders and members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf party were reportedly detained by the army and would be tried for their alleged involvement.

Khan, the founder of PTI, is facing over 100 cases and has been incarcerated in Adiala jail in Rawalpindi for over eight months now.

Jailed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder and former prime minister Imran Khan on Wednesday alleged that army chief General Asim Munir was directly responsible for the imprisonment of his wife Bushra Bibi.

Bushra Bibi, 49, was convicted in a corruption case as well as an illegal marriage case with Khan, 71, and is currently detained at their residence in Bani Gala on the outskirts of Islamabad.
