Omer Ayub excludes the backchannel agreement involving Imran Khan

Islamabad, April 8: The head of the opposition to the National Assembly Omer Ayub on Tuesday rejected the speculation of an agreement involving the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-E-insaf (PTI), reiterating that party leadership remains firm and united despite legal pressures.

Addressing the media outside the Islamabad judicial complex, Omer Ayub confirmed that the leader of the senior party Azam Swati recently met the founder of PTI, Imran Khan. However, he said he was not aware of any instruction transmitted at the meeting.

If Azam Swati has received instructions, I am sure they must be correct, said Ayub, adding that Swati is a high respected official who made immense sacrifices for the party.
