Bushra Bibi meets Imran Khan in Adiala on the occasion of Eidul Fitr

Former first lady Bushra Bibi, under tight security, visited Adiala Prison to meet her husband, Imran Khan, founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), marking the auspicious occasion of Eidul Fitr.

Accompanied by a group of security personnel, Bushra Bibi was escorted from her residence in Bani Gala, where she remains under house arrest, to Adiala Prison, where Imran Khan is currently detained. The road leading to the prison was closed on one side to ensure free passage for Bushra Bibi's visit.

The visit is in line with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) directive issued on April 1, demanding a meeting between Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi on the occasion of Eidul Fitr. During the court proceedings, Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb heard Bushra Bibi's request to be transferred from Bani Gala Sub-Jail to Adiala Prison.

Besides, Imran Khan observed Eidul Fitr prayers at the Central Jamia Masjid on the premises of Adiala Prison on Wednesday. He was notably accompanied by the detained PTI leader, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, the former foreign minister. After the prayer, Imran Khan and Qureshi exchanged warm hugs, wishing each other Eid wishes.

The communal prayers also saw the presence of prison officers alongside the former Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, outside Adiala Jail, a rally of PTI supporters gathered in solidarity with their leader Imran Khan, led by PTI North Punjab President Seemabia Tahir. Despite their efforts to reach the main gate of the prison, their progress was thwarted by police, who had cordoned off the road leading to Adiala prison.
