American bodybuilder nearly dies after drinking cold water and undergoes heart surgery

A Houston bodybuilder is spreading awareness after drinking cold water and nearly dying. Over the course of 15 years, Franklin Ariviana was repeatedly hospitalized, totaling more than 20 visits, due to his condition and unexpected triggers. Dr. Kashayar Hematopour, a doctor at Alibiana, emphasized that such symptoms are rare. Typically, you may experience sudden fatigue, chest discomfort, and shortness of breath.

“Watch for symptoms,” Ariviana doctor Kashayar Hematopour told ABC News.

Now, Aliviana is using her experience as a platform to raise awareness about the condition.

“It can cause subtle symptoms, and some people may feel a little more tired than usual, have shortness of breath, or experience chest pain,” Hematopour said.

Aliviana underwent an ablation procedure that cauterizes the connection between the vagus nerve and the heart. After this intervention, he made a full recovery and has not required hospitalization since, but he continues to be dependent on medication.
